The team was poorly prepared for the game on both sides.
The fumble in the 2nd quarter when the score was 17-14 made a huge impact on this game. Not saying we would have won, but the game would have been within reach. The biggest reason is that KU would have been able to burn more clock in the 2nd quarter. Instead the game got out of hand and KU had to rely on throwing the ball...which contriibuted to the death spiral. It the game was played again it would have been significantly closer.
