Sounds like a pretty sharp dude, that last part about 5th year transfers will not win any KU Football fans this year though. LOL I like the line that 5th year players "have the taste of a hired gun", well said if you agree or not. That being said, Lets go Dayne!!!!

Can't agree....his job is to build a conference but collegiate athletics are supposed to build young people.

If you are a 5th-year senior who isn't going to play, why not go somewhere else? Everyone seems to forget that the window for these student-athletes is incredibly small. Why should they be criticized for going after their dreams? Calling a student a hired gun is little over the top.

Make no mistake, the coaches who are recruiting these kids are trying to build something, too, but 5th-year seniors aren't 17-year old juniors in high school. They are adult young men, pursuing a dream. Not sure why that's so repulsive.

I don't disagree with you, I just meant I literally liked the sound of that line. . . I love spaghetti westerns too. Simply sounded pretty cool, like his comment about conference realignment being like middle school dating, just a good speaker in my opinion. He did make good arguments against 5th year transfers but I also dont necessarily agree, tough one.

I love his commment about being very excited about bringing in two ranked football teams, "in exchange for the ones" that are no longer here.

Welcome to the New Big XII, Mr. Bowlsby!
