Glad to hear him use the words "pitiful" and "disgusted." Pretty much sums it up. Props to OSU for a heck of a game, but our guys should be ashamed of the lack of defense and poor shooting. We're better than that.
I like an honest coach. I think he has been here before and he will be here again someday. He will have a plan. The plan will probably work. RCJH.
My wife and I drove over from Tulsa to see the game, and it was really hard to watch. The first half looked like body language that said, "we are Number 1 and all we do is show up and win." That was clear from the opening tip and the play reflected it. Finally, in the second half we began to play with some urgency, but by then OSU had the crowd and the confidence. Too little, too late. OSU is good, but they are the equivalent of a good second or third round opponent, and that is what happens in second or third round games to #1 seeds that don't show up to play. Living in Tulsa, we don't get to see KU play live that often, and when we do, it is tough being embarrased. I thought the OSU people were unbelievably gracious hosts before and after the game for the many people wearing blue who showed. Still, I want them again in the Big 12 tournament.
It really saddens me that our boys play like they did in Oklahoma. But this happens every year and we all know they are capable of playing better than they played the cowboys. It is pitifull. I am very dissappointed in our shooting, and overall performance in this game.
