I have continued to be frustrated and confused with the amount of playing time/mistakes and poor decisions made by not only Tyshawn but Markieff as well. Both of these guys seem to have regressed this year and make poor plays and display poor attitudes on the court. Dumb fouls and bad shots, mixed with a few turnovers are what I've come to expect from them lately. I think it would be a great opportunity for Withey and EJ to get some experience and be a spark off the bench instead. A rotation I would love to see would be the following:
Sherron
Brady
Xavier
Marcus
Cole
Bench:
6a. Tyrel
6b. EJ
7a. Jeff
7b. Markieff
I'm curious if we are alone in these thoughts or if any of the rest of you hawk heads feel similar.
Aye aye. I think it's time for Tyshawn to sit, and not just for a little bit to hope he'll get his head on straight, but permanently. Elijah's my man. Give him a chance.
I'm not as down on Markieff though. It's just his free throw shooting that's been real bad. The way he rubs the ball and looks at the hoop before his free throws, makes him look so nervous and not confident.
Xavier played very well.. Marcus is great!!
22-0 run - we won by 12!!
please forgive the rest of the team for making some mistakes!
remember, this is only 10%, as coach Self said.
we can play much better than that.
rock chalk!!
I like EJ, too, and would like him to get some minutes... but the idea of flipflopping the lineup now is a mistake. That's what Texas has done and can't find a rotation. I'm frustrated with TT's performance, too, but he has shown some signs of improvement. I recall until this game everyone was wanting X's head on a plate. Now, suddenly, CS is a genius for sticking it out with X...
We just beat a tough Texas team at their hacienda... our rotation is working and will continue to improve because we aren't searching for a lineup any longer.
Brady and Tyrel steal minutes from TT so TT isn't going near 40 minutes. Whether he starts or not is irrelevant, it's minutes that count.
I just want to see players like Withey, TT and TRob get a couple minutes a game just so they will be a bit ready if we need them in March.

Hi all. Newly registered Jayhawk. Enjoyed the game tonight.
The reporters really need to grow some cojones-why do the never ask the proper question--why does Tyshawn Taylor continue to play?
He has had numerous chances, but continues to play quite poorly, makes terrible decisions, is selfish, and consistently demonstrates a bad attitude!
Self has displayed a lot of patience for this man but I haven't seen any real change.
I would half expect him to sit the bench in favor of EJ--that kid needs to play!!

A few, maybe. Looks to me like Self is bringning this team along nicely and with his own plan, thank-you very much.

Marcus is a warrior! Xavier played his best Big 12 game so far and what about that Brady Morningstar free throw? Wow! Sports Center loved it!

Tyshawn Taylor needs to sit and learn for next year. I think CS needs to substitute TT with EJ and go on about it.
