Player of the year aware rarely goes to a 6th place team that might not win a post season game.
TT had a great year and came out of nowhere, but KUis NOT a baseball bastion (yet). TT has one more year to prove his value and let's hope the Hawks can have a better season next year!
Go HAWKS!

Doubt if TT is around next year, A MLB team like the Royals should grab him in the draft this summer.

Sorry, he will be around next year, he's only a sophomore. Should have listened to the coach first. Well then maybe the B12 player of the year will be a Jayhawk next year.

KU finished 5th actually and was .002 from a fourth place finish, a game from finishing third where if they could have just pitched a little better and finished out some games that they blew on the mound in the 9th they could have finished higher if you look at the games and how many hits Thompson got to help KU win ball games he should have gotten the award. He put up unbelievable numbers and put those up in the clutch as well. Wise's numbers don't even compare and its ridiculous Thompson didn't get the award. And I feel Price should have been coach of the year as well. He beat k-state two out of three and Oklahoma, swept Texas and if K-state would have played all their games they would have finished behind KU instead of .002 points ahead of them. If KU finished ahead of K-state would he have gotten it, i would have hope so cause KU was predicted to finish 10th by the coaches and won more games against teams in the top 25. KU got robbed from the awards and there’s no way around that.
