In the latest episode of Going Deep, Matt Tait and Eric Sorrentino speak with Bobby La Gesse of the Ames Tribune. The trio discusses the rejuvenated Iowa State ground game and how that could impact Saturday's game at Kansas. Is ISU back Alexander Robinson the premier back in the Big 12? Also, La Gesse analyzes what it will take for the Cyclones to pull off an upset in Lawrence.

We should be fine. Granted the Cyclones will be riding high from their win against KSU, but we're at home this year.

I listened to the game, and I thought K-State won at the last minute courtesy of blocking the Iowa State point after that would have tied the game.

We need to be more worried about KSU than ISU. Snyder teams play good D and their defensive backs tend to play in such a way as to see the QB which concerns me about the Hawks D this year. KSU special teams are also starting to be dangerous. The Cats could be spoilers for someone this year, hopefully not us. Would love to see them beat Mizzu.
I think we will be a lot better after the week off and expect to dominate ISU. Hope Sharp is back.

I like his prediction. That's kind of sad to hope that you can beat 3 of your remaining opponents when conference play is just starting.
