heck ya!! bring him on.. that's what i've been waiting for since last year dissapointment of winning a Griffin-less OU so easily.. KU aint' no whimpy team!! win or lose, it'll be a true test to our young team. go Hawks!

definitely... its shortsighted to think we don't want B Griffin to play. We need to be prepared for everything in front of us (Big 12 Tourney, NCAA's). We can most definitely play with these guys, with or without Blake. Just as jayhawker_97 says... its a real test for the 'hawks. Let's keep learning and keep getting better!

First place in the conference (which none of us expected to be playing for this late in the season) doesn't mean much unless we're prepared to run the gauntlet of March. Performing well again Griffin would give us the emotional boost of knowing we went into the house of the league favorite and held our own.

Much like Cole's nose injury, though, I wish Blake's concussion had never happened. Whether he plays or sits, shines or flops, it's all the commentators are going to talk about.

I completely agree with Jesse. A win is a win and we're better off with Blake not in the game. Either way we will most likely play them again in the tournament when he is 100% so why do we need to now? Even if he plays and we win the headlines will read "Injured Griffin couldn't carry OU as they stumbled against KU to drop second straight". Look at it this way... if Oklahoma didn't have a decent team without Blake then wouldn't they look more like Davidson without Curry? Let's look at some stats. Without Griffin their 4 best players (Warren, Crocker, T. Griffin, Johnson) combine for 43.2 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 10 assists. Collins, Aldrich, Taylor and Mc. Morris combine for 49.7, 20.2, 10.2. We are looking at a Griffenless team that averages only 6.5 points and 5.8 rebounds less than us. That doesn't favor us as much as we would hope. Especially playing in Norman and we have been terrible with turnovers. Regardless of whether we win or lose I still think Blake shouldn't play because it's too much of a risk. He is most likely player of the year and the #1 draft pick. It doesn't effect his career if he doesn't play tonight. With all of that being said I think if it comes down to his own decision he will decide to play. If they lose he claims he wasn't 100% and if they win everyone will say "Oh KU isn't as good as everyone thought because Oklahoma beat them even after Griffin suffered a concussion".

I am much more concerned that KU Play then Blake. Its coming to the time of the year that the freshman have gotten the experience they need to show the true worth of there talents. I want to know if the M&M twins will be there (there = play with heart and brains). I want to know if Mario is going to step up and be the strong 7 to 15 foot scorer he has shown he can be. I want to know if Taylor is going to show up and stop his lazy turnovers and be the scorer he has the talent to be. I want to know if we are going to block out on the board and limit OU's second chance points. I know with or without Blake G. KU can win this game IF THEY show up .. Rock Chalk ..

KU needs to beat them bad enough that the critics will say that Blake Griffin didn't matter. If we win by 2, then everyone will say that we would have lost if Blake was playing and the poll numbers won't change. We need a 15 point win and Cole needs to show the rest of the country who the 'big man' really is.
