Wow! Do I recall that exact same setup for the court in the mid 70s...raised floor, netting around the court, tarps on the floor where the seats are pushed back.... Hard to believe it did not change a bit during the 20 some years from the time of this photo in '55 till the mid '70s when I was there.

I remember going to an indoor track meet there. A good part of the running could not be seen as the runners were underneath the seating. I never actually saw it but wasn't it dirt underneath the raised court?
