With a hot start to the third quarter Sunday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse, Kansas University’s women’s basketball team avoided entering the regular season on a disappointing note, while simultaneously making sure first-year head coach Brandon Schneider didn’t suffer an exhibition loss to the program he led from 1998 to 2010.
