Not only being team USA and still undefeated in July, the Jayhawks play like a seasoned, cohesive team deserving of the preseason #1 NCAA ranking. Conditioning has been the deciding factor in every WUG game that stayed close into the fourth quarter. All the pool teams but Serbia were fading at the end of games.

In the medal bracket, same story both games. Germany has only faced Brazil and maybe one other actually competitive team, so they will be the dark horse of the finals. at least coming into the 4th qtr.

The novelty of K/USA playing when most stateside fans can follow the action is such a new development it may take some adjustment early in the game, but more for fans than players.

Rock Chalk! Go 'Hawks!
