Hate to say it but we have some really dumb fans. I am sick of hearing boos everytime Roy Williams was discussed on gameday. Give me a freaking break. Enough is enough. Can we move on now. When people boo what they are actually saying is that Roy Williams was bigger that kansas basketball. That in all of our history one man leaving to go home is bigger than our program. It is also a complete disrespect towards Bill Self. We should be happy and cheer that coach williams left because if he had not we would not have coach Self as our coach. I personally feel that Coach self is by far a better coach. I just dont understand tha immature boos. So what he left respect the man for what he did with our program, not saying to have to love him but respect is not making childish boos. To those KU fans that feel the need to boo Roy WIlliams...Grow up and stop disrespecting Coach Self with your boos towards Williams. I know for a fact that when people bood WSIlliams Coach Self feels disrespected that was mentioned in 2008 when we had played North Carolina. Again KU tradition is way bigger than just one person. Am I the only one that feels this way? is anyone else sick and tired of some of the KU fans who boo Roy?

Well said bbhawk. I got over Roy a long time ago. (It helped that we beat him in the final four) I'm glad he left. I agree that Coach Self is a much better coach than him. It really makes us look stupid when people boo him. We all should have gotten over this a long time ago.

I agree with LindHawk! Absolutely love Coach Self! When one door closes a BIGGER door opens.

Agree. Coach Williams did a lot of good things for the Jayhawks: Won a ton of games, went to the Final Four a number of times, and left the program looking good in the eyes of recruits and the national broadcasters. And most importantly, as mentioned above, left KU which gave us the opportunity to hire Coach Self.

We beat N. Carolina pretty bad in '08, and yet, Roy came to the final game sporting a KU Jayhawk sticker on his chest. Give the guy a break. If I were to bump into him anywhere (airport, in a store, on the sidewalk, Etc.) I'd happily approach him to thank him for his years at KU. This doesn't mean I'm a N. Carolina fan. I want KU to whup their a** if or when we play them. But I give credit where credit is due.

I'm sure someone will bring it up, so I'll mention it first. That involves his decision not to recruit in certain areas of the country. That's the one negative thing I do find questionable.

C'mon man. Gameday this morning was hilarious. After the piece on the chick with the huge KU tatoo on her back, one of the guys on the set said that later Jay Bilas would show us where his tatoo of Coach K was located. That was priceless. I fell off of my seat.

Uncle Pete said he got a $100 bill tatoo on "buford" cause whenever the old lady wanted to blow a hundred dollars she wouldn't even have to leave the house! Yeah!!!

Yeah, I don't even think about Roy at all any more. I wish him the best and all, but we've moved on.

The whooping we laid on North Carolina in the FF, and Roy's subsequent KU support in the title, marked the end of my contempt for his decision to leave.
