Baby Jay, Kansas University mascot, right, demonstrates a routine during tryouts. About 11 people attended the first day of tryouts for Big Jay and Baby Jay. Eight people will be selected as mascots for KU. Friday night's tryouts were held on the second floor of Allen Fieldhouse.
