29 MAR 1982: North Carolina's rookie freshman Michael Jordan (23) sinks the shot to win the NCAA National Basketball Championship game in New Orleans, LA Superdome. Georgetown's Eric Smith (32) can only watch the ball hit its mark. North Carolina defeated Georgetown 63-62 to win the title.
