29 MAR 1982: North Carolina coach Dean Smith gets a hug from center Sam Perkins (41) with MVP James Worthy santding near by after winning the NCAA Men's National Basketball Final Four championship game against Georgetown held in New Orleans, LA, at the Louisiana Superdome. North Carolina defeated Georgetown 63-62 for the championship.
