26 MAR 1979: Michigan State guard Earvin "Magic" Johnson (33) dunks the ball despite Indiana State guard/forward defense by Bob Heaton (30) during the NCAA Men's National Basketball Final Four championship game in Salt Lake City, UT, at the Special Events Center. Johnson was named Most Outstanding Player (MVP) for the tournament. Michigan State defeated Indiana State 75-64 to win the national title.
