MUSIC & THEATER: Billy Bob's Texas, which bills itself as the world's largest honky-tonk, has frequent concerts. Miranda Lambert is playing there at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Several theater companies are performing Christmas-related plays next week, as well.

HISTORY: Much of the Stockyards district - and several other areas of Fort Worth - look much like they did more than 100 years ago. Those include the Fort Worth Livestock Exchange, located in the Stockyards area.

NIGHTLIFE: KU fans shouldn't have trouble finding a watering hole in Fort Worth. Some of the more popular joints are the White Elephant Saloon and the Thirsty Armadillo.

FORT WORTH ZOO: Cross your fingers - it might be warm enough to hit the Fort Worth Zoo, which is ranked as one of the best zoos in the country. The "Texas Wild!" exhibit, which features the state's wildlife, is especially popular.
