Baylor Bears running back Terence Williams (22) is dragged down by Kansas defensive tackle Daniel Wise (96), right, Kansas linebacker Joe Dineen Jr. (29), center, and Kansas defensive tackle Jacky Dezir (54) during the first quarter on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2017 at Memorial Stadium.
Only a few months remain in Daniel Wise’s college football career. And the redshirt senior defensive tackle at the University of Kansas would like to cram as many successes as possible into them. "Our goal is to go to a bowl game and be the best that we can be for KU fans, KU nation and all that," Wise said. By Benton Smith
As he contemplated leaving early for the NFL, Daniel Wise leaned heavily on his father, 1988 draftee Deatrich Wise Sr., and brother, 2017 draftee Deatrich Jr., for advice. Those conversations included plenty of back-and-forths on various pros and cons. But as Daniel and the other Wise men mulled over his decision, the KU defensive tackle kept circling back to his desire to be NFL-ready as a rookie. By Benton Smith
