Olathe — All in all, not a bad Sunday afternoon for University of Kansas rising junior golfer Andy Spencer.
Other than sophomore Andy Spencer, the University Kansas golfers had not played a round on Karsten Creek, Oklahoma State’s home course and site of the NCAA golf finals, until today’s practice round.
If the Kansas men’s golf team can play as well in Wednesday’s third and final round of the NCAA Pacific Regional as it did in the first two, the Jayhawks will qualify for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2000.
The Kansas men’s golf team dug itself a hole Monday in Austin, Texas, that it will need to dig out from the next two days in order to advance to the NCAA championships in Sugar Grove, Ill.
