Shortly after arriving in Rome, where his team will play two of its four games in this week’s exhibition tour on Italian soil, Kansas coach Bill Self confirmed that freshman forward Billy Preston had been fully cleared by the NCAA to play this season. By Matt Tait

Preston realized shortly thereafter his jitters got the best of him and resolved not to play like that again. KU’s latest touted freshman made the most of a second chance Wednesday afternoon.
