Workers for Mid America Golf and Landscape of Lee's Summit, Mo, level the field at Memorial Stadium on Monday, replacing artificial turf that was installed in 2000.

Tear up that track while you're at it.... I know, know... all in due time! The track team deserves its own facility and yes, I know they're going to get it... Just dreaming of those days when I can come back and see the home field advantage of fans screaming and cheering from seats that surround the field. Some day... soon... Rock Chalk

Please please please tear out that track. It is one of the most embarrassing displays in all of college football venues. There isn't one game televised nationally where that damn track doesn't get pointed out to us.

We need to do what Oregon State did.

They tore out their track, and made the student-section about 15 rows deep, but went around the entire field. Now that would be awesome- with the fans right on top of the field.

i know people on the hill wouldn't be happy, but i think we should cover up that open space and connect it to the rest of the stadium, or at least just put some bleachers there
