Missouri football player Aaron O'Neal lies on the field after collapsing during a voluntary workout on Faurot Field at the university on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, in Columbia, Mo. He was helped off the field after the workout but later died. University of Missouri officials failed to follow policies for medical emergencies when freshman linebacker O'Neal collapsed and later died during a 2005 summer workout, according to legal documents obtained by The Associated Press.
