Kansas University player Danny Manning and KU coach Larry Brown embrace after winning the 1988 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. Manning went on to play in the NBA for many years and is now an assistant coach for KU. Brown went on to a successful coaching career in the NBA, including with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Detroit Pistons, among other teams. Here in Lawrence, Brown owns commercial real estate and is an owner of the holding company that owns Lawrence Bank.
