NORTH CAROLINA COACH ROY WILLIAMS is recognized for his 500th career win after the Tar Heels' victory against High Point on Dec. 9, 2006. Williams said Friday that former UNC coach Dean Smith - in town for today's reunion of the 1952 Kansas team - had little impact on his decision to leave KU for his alma mater prior to the 2003-04 season.
