'Batman' victorious again on Relays' last day

Bershawn “Batman” Jackson continues to perform superhuman feats at the Kansas Relays. “I need to buy a cape. Look for it next year,” the 24-year-old Miami native said Saturday after winning his fourth straight Relays 400-meter hurdles title and fifth in six years at Memorial Stadium.

Behind a time that was more than 17 seconds better than her previous best, Free State High’s Kyra Kilwein placed eighth in the 3,200-meter run and anchored the Firebirds’ distance medley relay team to a 13th-place finish, 10 places better than it was seeded.
