OSU's Dove stifles freshman star
Oklahoma State’s Marcus Dove was not named to the Big 12 Conference’s all-defensive team. Brandon Rush didn’t get to vote. Otherwise, Dove might have made it. An offensively challenged 6-foot-9 forward, Dove averages four points a game and was scoreless in 24 minutes of Kansas University’s 63-62 victory over OSU to advance to today’s semifinal round of the Big 12 tournament.

Nebraska came into the Big 12 tournament with a three-game losing streak. Now the Huskers are in the semifinals after winning their second straight, 69-63 over No. 22 Oklahoma on Friday night. Jamel White had 22 points and the sixth-seeded Huskers (19-12), who hadn’t won in the tournament since 1999 before their opening-round victory over Missouri on Thursday, became the only lower seed to win in the first two rounds.

A&M hurts CU's tourney chances in first-ever Friday game
Texas A&M finally got to play a Friday game in the Big 12 tournament. The Aggies will get to stick around and find out what it’s like playing on the weekend. Joseph Jones had 21 points and Josh Carter 15, including four of Texas A&M’s season-high 12 3-pointers, and the Aggies won in the Big 12 tournament for the first time, beating Colorado 86-53 in the quarterfinals.
