Kansas men 9th, women 8th in CC

Led by top-35 performances from Rebeka Stowe, Kara Windisch, Austin Bussing and Zach Zarda, Kansas University’s men placed eighth and the women ninth at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday at the NIU North Course.

Rebeka Stowe, Kansas CC teams place 7th

Kansas University senior Rebeka Stowe collected All-Big 12 honors for the second-consecutive season after she placed seventh at the Big 12 Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Stowe’s finish propelled the women’s team to a seventh-place team finish, while senior Austin Bussing also paced the KU men to seventh in the team standings.

KU runners named Academic All-Big 12

The Big 12 Conference named 15 Kansas University runners to the 2011 Academic All-Big 12 cross country teams Tuesday.

Men's basketball 1 of 3 KU athletic programs to earn perfect multiyear academic honors

Already known for its place at the top of the school’s athletic mountain, the Kansas University men’s basketball program continues to carry the torch for the academic side of the university’s athletics department, as well. Tuesday morning, the NCAA and KU released the results of the most recent Academic Progress Rate numbers and they revealed that head coach Bill Self’s squad was one of six programs at KU that delivered a perfect APR score of 1,000 during the 2009-10 school year.
