Picky point, but since you are calling it conference standings, shouldn't the sorting be according to conference win percentage? Then we'd be ahead of Texas. They've won 60% of their conference games - we've won 61.5%.

After all the gloom and doom, KU has the second most wins in the Big 12. Some of the teams ahead of the Jayhawks should start knocking each other off which will help the Jayhawks in the final standings.

If you go by percentage points, KU is solidly in 4th place with a .615 and yes, ahead of Texas. If you go by games behind based on win/loss, KU is tied for second place with WVU and OU, each behind Baylor by 3 games. Our team still has a lot to play for and are in position to determine their own destiny. I've been thinking that our team had hit the proverbial "wall." Usually we see that with an individual player, but for some reason we hit it as a team. If we've broken through that wall as a team, we could even see a second place finish in the Big 12. The finial five games are of upmost importance for us. If we continue to improve from the Iowa State game, I can see us sweeping the final five games. Someone has to beat Baylor, why not us?

Interesting that we have played at least two more conference games than anyone else and as many as four. Here is hoping that we continue to stay safe and continue improving.

When is Baylor going to make up all of their FIVE postponed games? That will effect the overall standings and a chance for KU to move up, given WVU has not yet played the top team in the Big 12 and Texas and OU still have to make up games against Baylor. Baylor should get the trophy for the worst for following the COVID-19 protocol in the Big 12. Postponed: Texas at Baylor (from December 13), TCU at Baylor, Baylor at Oklahoma, Baylor at West Virginia, West Virginia at Baylor. Scheduled: OSU at Baylor, IUS at Baylor, Baylor at KU.
