KU volleyball falls to Baylor

The Kansas volleyball team fell to Baylor in three sets Saturday night at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.

Bouncing back from a five-set loss to Kansas in the season opener for both teams on Friday night, the Bears (1-1) won Saturday’s first set 25-14.

The lead changed three times in the second set, which Baylor won 25-19. And the Bears led throughout set No. 3 en route to a 25-15 win that ended the match.

Senior Jenny Mosser netted double-digit kills for the second-consecutive match to lead the Jayhawks (1-1) in kills.

Next up, the Jayhawks will travel to Austin, Texas, to take on the Texas Longhorns in a two-match series next weekend.

Oik Good wiwe got a split with the 2nd best team in conference, bad news we were really not competitive with them. This team will probably not win any at texas, but this swe have a right tjo start to see this team come together. It is a new team, with a lot of potential, but the qeustion for this staff is how to iimprove and build the team. Last 2 yerars there was no growth. The jury is out.

“2nd best” would insinuate that another team was better than BU and diminish the significance of the victory.

The reality is that BU was 29-2 and a final 4 team last year; better than any other Big12 team. Obviously, lots still to be determined about this year.

Good luck ladies.
