The Kansas soccer team fell in the Big 12 opener Thursday night at Rock Chalk Park.

Kansas gave up a second-half score in the 1-0 loss to Texas. Cyera Hintzen got behind the Jayhawks’ defense and scored the game’s only goal in the 70th minute. Mandi Duggan of Kansas was extremely close to evening things up just eight minutes later, but the shot hit the top of the goal.

With the loss, Kansas falls to 8-3 on the year and has now dropped two of its previous three outings. KU will host Baylor at 1 p.m. Sunday.
