KU soccer earns 1-0 win over Oklahoma

By Staff Report     Oct 10, 2019

Thanks to some late-game theatrics, the Kansas women’s soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Oklahoma on Thursday night on the road.

Mandi Duggan scored the game-winning goal in overtime at the 98:07 mark in the match. It came right after Katie McClure missed the shot attempt off the crossbar. The score was Duggan’s fourth goal of the season.

KU goalkeeper Sarah Peters tallied six saves in the win. Oklahoma outshot Kansas by a 16-10 margin on the day, including a 6-4 advantage via shots on goal.

Kansas (10-4, 2-2 Big 12) will travel to Texas Tech at 1 p.m. Sunday.
