KU baseball erases early deficit in 6-2 win

The Kansas baseball team scored six unanswered runs to erase an early deficit with a 6-2 win over Georgetown Saturday afternoon at North Charlotte Park in Port Charlotte, Florida.

After Georgetown netted two runs in the top of the sixth, Kansas scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to reclaim the lead. Brett Vosik recorded an RBI double to stretch KU’s advantage to a 4-2 margin. Blaine Ray posted an RBI triple in the seventh, and Conner VanCleave added an RBI base knock soon after.

Ryan Cyr (2-0) earned the win in the start, allowing two runs off seven hits over seven frames. He struck out eight batter, while walking four batters.

Kansas (10-3) will face Ball State at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
