The Kansas softball team (4-14) split the final day of competition at the NC State Invitational and Duke Invitational, falling to Campbell, 9-3, in the first game of the day and beating Charleston Southern by a 6-0 margin.
It marked KU's first shutout since March 21, 2018, at Incarnate Word. The shutout was also Brynn Minor's first as a KU player, as she earned her second win of the season.
Minor allowed only two hits in her complete-game performance against Charleston Southern. The Jayhawks provided plenty of run support with four runs in the fifth frame. Jennifer Marwitz hit her first career triple, scoring two runners.
Earlier in the day, Madison Sykes hit a solo homer against Campbell in a losing effort.
Kansas will return home for the Jayhawk Invitational next weekend at Rock Chalk Park.
