It will be a long time before Ben Easters plays college football. But as of Tuesday evening the high school quarterback from Brownsburg, Ind., plans to do so at the University of Kansas.

Easters, a pro style QB in the Class of 2021, announced his commitment to Les Miles and the Jayhawks via Twitter, in a post that included a photo of him wearing a blue KU uniform during his recent visit to Lawrence for a summer camp.

“Coach Miles has the program moving in the right direction and moving fast,” Easters told Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports, “and I want to be a part of that kind of team and play for a coach as prestigious as him.”

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Easters currently lacks a star rating from both Rivals and 247 Sports, but that could change in the future.

According to 247 Sports, Easters is the No. 39 pro style QB in his class and the 10th-best 2021 prospect from the state of Indiana.

Easters reportedly also had a scholarship offer from Bowling Green at the time of his announcement.

With his nonbinding verbal pledge, Easters became the second in KU’s 2021 class, joining Texas prep receiver Majik Rector.

Neither prospect can make his commitment to Kansas official until about sixteen months from now, in December of 2020.

Even Bullwinkle and Rocky have to be impressed how Les Miles pulled this rabbit out of a hat!

Ironic that Easters resides in a western suburb of the Motor City, Brownsburg.

Rock Chalk!

In another article I read, it says that most of the Big 10 universities are showing interest. This one will be hard to keep, but if we do...another big win.
