Kansas women's golf opened play at the Big 12 Championship Sunday afternoon, playing 18 holes of play at the par-72, 6,341 yard Golf Club of Oklahoma. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is hosted by the University of Oklahoma and runs through Tuesday.
Redshirt-freshman first baseman Dylan Ditzenberger walked it off for the second day in a row to help Kansas win its first Big 12 series of the season against Oklahoma State, 7-6, in 11 innings Sunday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark.
In her first at bat of the series, Oklahoma senior infielder Sydney Romero struck out in the first, just one of the four times she got out over the course of the Sooners’ series with Kansas.
