Kansas track & field junior Gleb Dudarev has been named the Big 12 Co-Men’s Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Florida Relays, the league announced Wednesday.

The junior out of Vitebsk, Belarus took the NCAA lead in the hammer throw at the Florida Relays last week, recording a mark of 74.39m (244-1 ft.) as the top collegiate finisher in the event. The mark also places him at No. 12 in the nation.

Dudarev has won two Big 12 outdoor titles in the hammer throw and was named First Team All-America in 2017 and Second Team All-America in 2018 in the hammer.

The weekly honor marks Dudarev’s sixth Big 12 athlete of the week award in his career, having last won it on Feb. 6, 2019. Dudarev shared the honor with Texas Tech’s Charles Brown and TCU’s Chengetayi Mapaya, marking the first time in four years that three athletes have been selected as Men’s Athletes of the Week.
