Two Jayhawks competing in tour event

Two University of Kansas golfers, instead of the usual one, will be playing in this week’s Tour event. touring pro Chris Thompson, who skipped last week’s event, returns to action this week at the Utah Championship in Farmington, Utah. Thompson celebrates his 42nd birthday by teeing off No. 10 at Oakridge Country Club at 2:10 p.m. (Central). He enters the week ranked 54th on the tour’s money list with $70,596.

Chase Hanna, 23, tees off No. 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Hanna, the 2017 Big 12 champion, gained entry into the field by shooting a 62 at a Monday qualifier. He had been playing on the PGA Latinoamerica tour, where he ranked 47th with $9,939 in earnings. He finished tied for sixth in the Quinto Open in Ecuador to earn $5,112.50.

Shouldn't you say "former University of Kansas golfers"? The way it's written makes it sound like KU has a 42 year old on the team.
