As the hours leading up to National Signing Day tick down, more commitments for the Kansas football program’s 2018 recruiting class continue to trickle in.

The latest came on Monday afternoon, when junior college offensive tackle Reuben Lewis announced his intentions to sign with the Jayhawks via Twitter.

A 6-foot-4, 330-pound blocker from Coffeyville Community College, Lewis became the 19th player to join KU’s class and the 11th from the juco ranks.

Rivals rates Lewis as a three-star talent following his sophomore season at Coffeyville.

Previously Lewis reportedly also picked up offers from East Carolina, New Mexico and West Virginia.

Lewis, originally from Apopka, Fla., becomes the fourth offensive lineman for KU in this class, but the first juco O-lineman. The others are high school prospects Jacobi Lott, Nick Williams and Mac Copeland, all of whom signed during the December early period.

The day before Lewis committed to Kansas, two-star prep quarterback Torry Locklin did the same.

Head coach David Beaty and his staff were able to secure 14 signings in December. They will look to add to their class Wednesday, when KU recruits such as Louisiana linebacker Ryan Malbrough and Overland Park defensive end Miles Emery can make their non-binding verbal commitments official.
