KU softball swept by Texas Tech

By Staff Report     Apr 29, 2018

The Kansas softball team couldn’t get its offense going in a 1-0 loss to Texas Tech on Sunday at Arrocha Ballpark.

Breanna Russell’s RBI double in the second inning was all the Red Raiders needed to complete the three-game sweep of the Jayhawks.

Kassidy Scott held the Jayhawks to two hits. KU starter Andie Formby allowed one run on 11 hits. Formby struck out five and walked two.

The Jayhawks (25-24, 0-15) will wrap up the Big 12 regular season with a home series against Iowa State. Game 1 is set for 5 p.m. Friday at Arrocha Ballpark.
