KU baseball comes up short against Cincinnati

By Staff Report     Apr 29, 2018

Brendt Citta ripped a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning, but that was all that the Kansas baseball team could muster in a 9-3 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday at Marge Schott Stadium.

Citta cut the Jayhawks’ deficit to 5-3, but the Bearcats pulled away with four runs in the eighth. Cincinnati swept the three-game series from Kansas.

The Jayhawks (19-24, 3-11) will try to end an 11-game losing streak at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when they play host to Missouri State at Hoglund Ballpark.
