KU softball falls to Texas Tech, 4-2, in extras

The Kansas softball team suffered a 4-2 loss to Texas Tech in eight innings on Friday at Arrocha Ballpark.

Jessie Roane belted a solo shot for the Jayhawks, who fell to 25-22 overall and 0-13 in the Big 12.

Tech’s Jessica Hartwell broke the 2-2 tie with a two-run shot in the top of the eighth.

The Jayhawks will try to bounce back in Game 2 against the Red Raiders at 2 today.
