KU softball falls to Texas Tech, 11-7

Annie Mehringer had a career day at the plate for the Kansas softball team, but it wasn’t enough in an 11-7 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday at Arrocha Ballpark.

Mehringer went 2 for 3 with and two-run home run and four RBIs.

Texas Tech jumped out to a 6-0 lead with three runs in the first and second innings.

The Jayhawks (25-23, 0-14) and Red Raiders will wrap up the series at noon Sunday at Arrocha Ballpark.
