By Staff Report     Oct 19, 2017

The Kansas volleyball team earned its program-record fourth win of the season against a ranked opponent, cruising past No. 24-ranked Baylor (25-14, 25-22, 25-14) on Wednesday at Ferrell Center.

The No. 11-ranked Jayhawks (17-3, 6-1 Big 12) own a 4-2 record against teams ranked inside of the Top 25 this year. Against Baylor, senior Madison Rigdon recorded 18 kills on a .400 hitting percentage.

The Bears (16-5, 6-2) were held to their lowest hitting percentage of the season (.088). Sophomore Zoe Hill had seven blocks, while seniors Ainise Havili and Kelsie Payne added 12 digs apiece.

“We slowed Baylor down with one of our better defensive efforts of the season,” KU coach Ray Bechard said. “I thought we put the ball where we wanted to, and that started with Ainise and Madison.”

The Jayhawks will play host to Texas Tech at 1 p.m. Saturday.
