Kansas golfers 13th in Florida

Kansas’ women’s golf team finished 13th among 13 teams in the Suntrust Gator Women’s Invitational on Sunday in Gainesville, Fla.

Pitsinee Winyarat led the Jayhawks with a three-round total of 15-over 225, good for a tie for 30th place. Winyarat’s final two rounds of 74 were KU’s best in the tournament.

KU’s Ariadna Fonseca Diaz tied for 50th place with a 19-over 229.

Florida won the tournament with an 847 score. KU totaled 919, 10 strokes behind 12th-place Mercer.

Team scores: Florida 847, Duke 855, UCF 863, Campbell 882, Clemson 884, Maryland 889, Florida International 890, South Florida 897, Virginia Tech 899, Troy 901, Wisconsin 902, Mercer 909, Kansas 919.
