Hurdler Michael Stigler and discus thrower Mason Finley, a pair of former University of Kansas athletes, will represent Team USA at the track and field world championships to be held in London, Aug. 5 to Aug. 13.

Finley earned his spot on the team by defending his discus title at the USA Track and Field championships in Sacramento over the weekend with a throw of 63.03 meters (206 feet, 9 inches).

Stigler qualified with a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 48.26 in the event won by Eric Futch (48.18).

Andrea Geubelle took third in the triple-jump with a mark of 13.62 meters (44-8-1/4) but will not be eligible for the world championships unless she meets the minimum qualifying standard (14.10 meters) in the next month.
