Oklahoma scored two runs in the eighth inning to erase a Kansas lead, and the Sooners defeated KU, 7-6, in Big 12 baseball Sunday in Norman, Okla.

Steele Walker’s two-run single off KU reliever Stephen Villines provided the Sooners their margin of victory.

The Jayhawks (19-20, 8-7 Big 12) walked a season-high 11 batters and hit another three Sooners (28-15, 6-6 Big 12).

“Anytime you give up that many free passes, it is hard to win a game,” KU coach Ritch Price said. “We were fortunate that we had a chance late to overcome it.”
