KU sophomore Lokedi places fifth at NCAA XC meet

? Kansas sophomore Sharon Lokedi earned all-America honors for the second consecutive season after placing fifth overall at the NCAA cross country meet Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.

Lokedi clocked in with a 6,000-meter time of 19:52.2.

The fifth-place finish was the best performance in the history of the KU women’s cross country program. Lokedi took 10th at the 2015 NCAA Championships, and is the first Kansas women’s cross country runner to become a two-time all-American.
