Joel was a game time decision due to a sprained ankle. If he holds up he could be rookie of the year, even while playing restricted minutes.

In 20 minutes Embiid was 3 for 5 from 3-point range and 9 for 14 from the field overall. He also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots.

If Joel can just stay healthy and not get into any more potentially career ending type injuries, he is serious contender for ROY and will become one of the core members of a team that could contend in the years to come.
