I hope Cheick can improve (On D-League assignment). Wish he could have stayed another year, but hard to turn down the chance to make substantial money in the NBA. Makes coaching college ball tricky when all of these young players want to move on after only a year. As Self has said he wants his players to have a career in the NBA not just their initial contract. There are many young players coming out every year and to have staying power in the NBA is not easy. Also, it has been fun to watch Embiid when he is allowed to play. Currently the 76ers are protecting their prize by restricting him to 25 minutes and having him stay in Philadelphia for away games. If he stays healthy, he will be phenomenal in the NBA. Go Joel!
