KU tennis players advance at ITA

Six Kansas University women’s tennis players advanced at the ITA Summer Circuit on Saturday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

Thompson tied for 22nd at Web.com

Lawrence resident and former two-time All-American golfer for Kansas University, Chris Thompson shot a 3-under-par 68 to finish the third round of the Lincoln Land Charity Championship in a seven-way tie for 22nd place Saturday, eight strokes behind leader Wesley Bryan in the Web.com Tour event.

Lawrence resident and former Kansas University golfer Chris Thompson followed up his opening-round 68 with a 66 on Friday and sits in a tie for 14th place, five strokes off the lead of Jason Millard, in the Lincoln Land Charity Championship.

Selden invited to join Grizzlies

Former Kansas University guard Wayne Selden Jr. has been invited to Memphis Grizzlies preseason camp, the Commercial-Appeal reports. Selden will be a non-roster player with no guaranteed contract.

Kaun to be cut following trade

Former Kansas University forward Sasha Kaun on Friday was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN reported. The move created room on the roster for Cleveland to sign center Chris Andersen in a separate deal.
