The Portland Trail Blazers waived former Kansas forward Cliff Alexander on Thursday to create salary cap space, according to a tweet from The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Alexander, who played one season at KU, only appeared in eight games for the Blazers last season, scoring 10 points in 36 minutes.

I hope he earned enough money last year to go back to college.

So, is the mom paying back the loan?

Let's hope that Cliff can land an international gig. If he keeps at it, he can make something good out of this. Best of luck to him!

This is a prime example of why kids don't get in too big a hurry to jump to the NBA. Cart before the horse? Way to go mom! You couldn't be "poor" one more year? Congrats. You've ruined his NBA career thus far.
